In a trailblazing moment for African music and fashion, Africa Fashion International (AFI) is set to revolutionize the Metro FM Music Awards (MMAs) 2025 with a first-of-its-kind, live on-stage fashion showcase during the awards ceremony on 3 May 2025 at Mbombela Stadium.
Titled the AFI Fashion Experience, this bold production will turn the MMAs stage into a dynamic runway, spotlighting the latest NALA | Privé collection alongside live performances from this year’s most celebrated musical talent. It promises a high-energy fusion of style and sound, setting a new benchmark for awards show entertainment across the continent.

Designed by Loice Dube, winner of the AFI Fastrack Prize 2023/24, the NALA | Privé collection draws inspiration from Black Dandyism, reinterpreting its legacy through avant-garde silhouettes, bold colours, rich textures, and meticulous tailoring. It’s a celebration of elegance, identity, and innovation—honouring the past while imagining the future.
In addition to this groundbreaking show, AFI returns as the official fashion partner of the MMAs, sponsoring the Best Styled Artist Award and curating the AFI MMA Black Carpet Experience, which will once again set the tone for high fashion and glamour as stars arrive.
