Earth, sky and stone shape a new colour collection for Belgotex’s highest-volume carpet, a commercial benchmark since 1989.
Belgotex has launched Berber Point 920 Moods, a new colour collection for Berber Point 920, the highest-volume carpet in its portfolio. Drawing on earth, sky and stone, the palette gives commercial interior specifiers more control over how a space feels, on a carpet that has proven itself in high-traffic environments since 1989.
Colourways such as Misty Cliffs, Sunbaked Clay and Gentle Fern layer organic, raw tones onto a proven product, bringing a grounding, restorative quality indoors. Used together, they allow a floor to be planned by mood: a calm focus zone in one part of an open plan, a grounded communal area in another, with the same heavy commercial-grade carpet running its proven quality throughout.

The palette reflects a broader shift in interiors toward earthy, desaturated colour and a considered balance of pale and dark tones. Belgotex has aligned the collection with the three experiential colour areas in the NCS 2027 trend framework: Clarity, for light tones that open a space up; Tactility, for mid to deep tones that bring out texture; and Cultural Expression, for richer colour that gives a space identity.
‘Commercial interiors are moving towards the calmer, earthier colours people associate with the outdoors, and those colours change how a space feels to work or learn in,’ says Vish Orie, Head of Design Engineering at Belgotex. ‘Moods takes a carpet our clients already trust for performance and offers a palette for planning a floor by atmosphere as well as by function.’

Berber Point 920 Moods is a heavy commercial structured needlepunch carpet made with Stainproof Miracle Fibre, which resists stains and fading. Backed with ResinBac or NexBac, it provides sound insulation and keeps static build-up low. The collection is available in 4.2-metre broadloom and modular tiles, and carries a 10-year warranty and 5-year guarantee.
Locally, the palette retains the practical, dirt-concealing tones Berber Point 920 is known for, alongside warmer neutrals. In export markets, where specifications are design-led, the full spectrum of pale and dark tones is particularly relevant for commercial and hospitality projects.
Berber Point 920 Moods is available now. The full colour range and specification sheet are available at belgotex.co.za/products/carpet/berber-point-920-moods.
