Vergenoegd Löw, the historic wine estate nestled just outside Stellenbosch, proudly presents an enchanting afternoon of classical music in honour of Women’s Month. On Saturday, 2 August 2025, the Take Four Piano Quartet — four of South Africa’s most acclaimed female classical musicians — will deliver a moving performance in the estate’s beautifully restored Chapel.
Comprising Zanta Hofmeyr (violin), Jeanne-Louise Moolman (viola), Susan Mouton (cello), and Elna van der Merwe (piano), the Take Four Piano Quartet represents a remarkable harmony of artistry, passion, and friendship. Having formed in 2022, this all-women ensemble has delighted audiences nationwide with their expressive interpretations and refined musicality.
This exclusive performance will feature a rich and emotionally resonant programme of romantic chamber works by Johannes Brahms and Antonín Dvořák, showcasing the quartet’s deep connection and individual virtuosity.
The event begins at 14:00 with a welcome drink at the historic 1773 Homestead, followed by the concert at 15:00. After the performance, guests will enjoy a sumptuous three-course dinner with wine service at Clara’s Barn, Vergenoegd Löw’s signature restaurant.
