TAAG Angola Airlines and Avianca Airlines have entered a strategic partnership to strengthen their air cargo transport capabilities through the establishment of a Special Prorate Agreement (SPA). This collaboration significantly enhances both carriers’ service portfolios, opening new markets, fostering business development, and expanding cargo destination networks while offering preferential rates and conditions to customers.
Through this agreement, TAAG Angola Airlines will expand its footprint in key South American markets, offering customers, including industrial clusters in Europe and Africa, access to a broader network beyond São Paulo (GRU) in Brazil. New connections now include Bogotá (BOG) in Colombia, Santiago (SCL) in Chile, Lima (LIM) in Peru, Montevideo (MVD) in Uruguay, and Quito (UIO) in Ecuador.
Simultaneously, Avianca gains privileged access to the African market via TAAG’s cargo network, reaching Luanda, Johannesburg, Lagos, Cape Town, Libreville, Kinshasa, Brazzaville, and Nairobi.
The partnership will support various cargo types, with a particular focus on perishable goods from South America and machinery from the European Union, among others.
