As new consumer trends on fabric protection emerge, DIESEL is proud to announce the introduction of an ultra-innovative fabric treatment that physically halts 99% of any viral activity*. Developed in partnership with Swedish firm Polygiene, the innovative ViralOff® and Odor Crunch® application – of which DIESEL retains a 100% exclusive on material – will be implemented across a selection of the brand’s coming season t-shirt styles, aiming at a greater range of products moving forward.
The range will launch in South Africa from May 2021.
ViralOff® has shown efficacy against a comprehensive range of microbes and viruses. Polygiene Odor Crunch® eliminates odor through a catalytic process, that breaks down the odor-molecules, making the odor disappear. DIESEL applied a combination of these two treatments to a selection of t-shirt models during the final production stages. This exclusive combination reduces the microbes on the surface of the fabric, and effectively breaks down and eliminates odors.
T-shirt models which include this are: T-BOWLESS-VO (female) and T-JUST-VO (male) which will be available in both black and white.
Additionally, Polygiene ViralOff® and Odor Crunch® offers further benefits: the treatments last for the lifetime of the garment, and with a lower number of wash cycles, the garment life is extended, and water and energy use are reduced, therefore having a lower impact on the environment.
