Made in South Africa and proudly woman owned

Uniquely crafted from a small town of Benoni in Gauteng province, The Luxe Box Bespoke Gifting was incepted in 2016.

Elsebe Koorsen, a fashion, beauty and retail expert, conceptualised what we now know as the luxurious “The Luxe Box – Bespoke Gifting Company. With many years of experience, knowledge and exposure working in various industries such as fashion, beauty and retail – combined with her skills such as excellent customer service, consumer behavior and attention to detail, the bespoke gifting services company brainchild was born.

Having shown an entrepreneurial and creative drive from an early age, with the many challenges she has been confronted with when looking for a personalised, simplistic, thoughtful, and of course, gorgeously put together gifts, she saw the gap and addressed it.

When Elsebe decided to go full steam in creating the locally inspired gifting space, she focused her efforts in ensuring that the Luxe standout as follow;

  1. Every single gift box packed by hand,
  2. Meticulous crafted with an eye for detail,
  3. Right until the end- curated especially for you, using only the finest locally made products and items,
  4. Affordable locally sourced luxury product and
  5. An experience

In today’s world of rushing against time and the tedious experience of trying to find a gift for someone, or just something nice for yourself, that entire process ultimately becomes a movement of urgent haste and it eventually becomes unpleasant.

Elsebe wanted to change that and she has, with her company’s value proposition of excellent service at all times, premium local quality products, efficiency and personal attention – going an extra mile.

‘I wanted to save people time by providing them with an effortless luxury gifting service that is not only a gift but an entire luxury experience – ‘giving more than joy!  said Elsebe.

Besides the experience The Luxe Box pride itself with, the socially conscious entrepreneurial spirit that further elevates them as a brand. Their sourcing system is conscious to the end, the brand believes in feel-good gifting and that is why it is deliberate and tactical in its social sourcing mechanism.

They support local products that have the following characteristics:

  • Locally manufactured – we try to support brands that use home-grown products, create employment, or do both.
  • Artisan goods – we love to support South African entrepreneurs, preferably Small Medium and Micro Enterprise (SMME) and give them a platform to increase their volume and make profit.
  • Animal and earth-friendly -we make sure that the products we stock are kind to the earth and are not tested on animals.

Elsebe has a road map of what she aspires to achieve short, medium and long term for her luxury gifting business, she had this to say ‘’our short term goal is to get the brand established as the primary shopping destination for gifts.  We want to be the go-to-choice for individuals and corporates when they are looking for the perfect gift.  We also want to establish ourselves as a luxury brand and establish ongoing relationships with our private as well as corporate customers.  Also, to open an online Subscription portal”

With long term goals of expanding the company and grow it to a larger scale where we will be pushing out large quantities of gifts regularly for corporates and events.  We ultimately want The Luxe Box to be able to contribute to the economy not only by supporting local small businesses but also by creating jobs and opportunities, she concluded.
