The latest handmade ceramic collection in Yves Klein blue must be discovered.
Known for their curated selection of fine goods for the home, De Nagmaal has done it again. A limited collection of ceramic vases in an eye catching blue is now available in store at De Nagmaal online and Hemelhuijs. This particular blue pigment, known as Yves Klein blue, has specially been created for these exceptional vessels. Intended as vases in which to display one’s favourite blooms, it is in fact up to the owner’s discretion how they would prefer to use or display the pieces.
Each vessel is locally made by hand, giving each one an authentic and unique appearance. No two vases will look exactly the same. This of course is due to the specialist craft used by the artist to create each piece, one by one. The pigment, a special custom made deep shade of blue, was selected by Jacques Erasmus, the owner of De Nagmaal, Hemelhuijs and the glorious Karoo retreat Jonkmanshof to design an exceptional focal point in any space. Says Jacques: “Its distinctive appeal makes the vases a pure visual delight which I love to display”
The vases are available in three sizes that include small, medium and large. They are also presented in varying tubular or fluted shapes. In addition, a limited edition extra large bowl completes the collection.
