David and Nadia Sadie gained fame as “young guns” and part of the Swartland revolution – incredibly talented young winemakers showcasing the very best old vines across the Swartland. Today sees the release of their 9th vintage and truly confirms them as an entrenched, accomplished and celebrated producer of superb wines reflecting the unique soils and vineyards of their beloved Swartland.
Tim Atkins classified them as a South African “First Growth” producer in his benchmark report for the last two years, and 2018 saw two of their single vineyard chenin’s score a near-perfect 98 points. Early reviews of the 2018 vintage bring high expectations of repeating this feat, with a new chenin, the Plat’bos, bringing yet another clean, ethereal interpretation of South Africa’s most planted varietal.
With the drought of 2017 and 2018 severely affecting the crop size, there is even less of these wines available and they are guaranteed to sell out fast – act now to secure these wines for your collection!
